While you may be browsing this site to learn more about Lukas' video production work, you might be surprised to know that by profession, Lukas is a computer scientist and senior-level developer currently working at Shopify.
Before jumping into professional (and volunteer) life, Lukas received an Honours BSc with Distinction in Computer Science from Carleton University, and participated in a three-year digital broadcasting program in high school.
Today, his specialty is building applications for Apple platforms and robust tooling infrastructure. Lukas has been working at Shopify for 9 years and is currently on the Mobile Foundations team.
Lukas is passionate about the arts and has been operating cameras for about as long as he could walk, including many years of freelance work with local musicians, bands, artists, and nonprofit organizations. In 2024, Lukas joined CKCU FM as a volunteer and has been the lead producer behind many unique video programs including Live Off The Floor, a web video music series that features local artists. He is now working on some exciting new projects!
On the side, Lukas volunteers his time as sound and lighting designer at musical theatre productions at local schools. Lukas has worked on 15 shows over the course of over 10 years.
